In addition to its small-school lists, EasternPAFootball.com also released its Big School all-state teams this week. Those consist of — you guessed it — players from the AAA and AAAA classifications within the website’s coverage area.

Five YAIAA players earned an honorable mention selection by the site. They are listed after the jump.

TE Zach Moyer, Northeastern – The junior led the Bobcats in receiving yards (466) and touchdown catches (5), en route to the first winning season in the program’s brief history. Moyer also averaged a team-best 19.4 yards per catch.

WR Jerrin Toomey, West York – A team captain and cornerstone on both sides of the ball, Toomey paced the Bulldogs in receiving yards (867), receptions (51) and touchdown grabs (10). At safety, he corralled a team-leading 122 tackles.

OL Brody Kern, West York – A starter since his first game as a freshman, the 6-foot-3, 276-pound junior center turned in another fine season in the middle of West York’s line.

QB Tanner Klinefelter, Red Lion – The senior was a bit banged up late in the season, but still threw for 1,411 yards and completed 61.3 percent of his passes in 11 games. He threw for 11 touchdowns and ran for seven more.

P Mike Felton, South Western – You figured to find the Mustangs’ dynamic senior somewhere on this list, although to find him at punter might seem a bit surprising. Then again, Felton, who will play safety at Temple next fall, was pretty good at punter; he averaged 41.5 yards per kick this season.

Some surprising omissions on both the big school and small school lists, among them Central York quarterback Brandon Baker, Central receiver Jalil Ford, Dover running back Tanner Link and Bermudian Springs running back/linebacker Tyler Fitzkee. All of them posted monster numbers this season on successful teams. But hey, I’m not a voter. And to be fair, picking all-state teams for football can be a pretty daunting task.
